Yellowstone National Park is a magical place, especially during the first weeks of May. You can experience wildlife's rebirth viewing a newborn bison take it's first steps, bear cubs wrestling, bald eagle chicks being fed and if your really lucky wolf, fox and coyote pups playing near their den. Listen for avalanches roaring down the mountainsides melting into 100 foot waterfalls. The higher elevations are still covered with fresh snow while Lamar Valley may be balmy. There are few tourists, but the old timers can be found trying to capture that elusive perfect moment on film. Directly south is the Grand Teton National Park which offers the most scenic mountain range in the land.
